Levodopa
Reading the
companion article "Levodopa
depletes serotonin"
is recommended. This
Levodopa
link is to the
right.
The reason carbidopa
is used with
Levodopa
is to manage the
problems. The
problem of nausea
occurs when
Levodopa is given
alone. As noted in
the "Parkinson's
Disease carbidopa"
hyperlink to the
right carbidopa is
the cause of many of
the problems that
are experienced by
patients in
treatment of
Parkinson's Disease.
The perfect
treatment would be
to find a way to use
Levodopa without
carbidopa.
NeuroResearch
Clinics has
discovered that when
serotonin levels are
established with
5-HTP in the phase 3
therapeutic range
using
neurotransmitter testing while the
Levodopa is being
adjusted for relief
of Parkinson's
Disease symptoms
nausea is no longer
and carbidopa is no
longer needed. This
effectively puts an
end to problems
associated with long
term carbidopa use
as is found in
Sinemet and other
drugs.
In
the research work of
NeuroResearch Clinic
since 1997, it is
obvious that
serotonin nutrients
and dopamine
nutrients must be
properly balanced in
order to achieve
optimal clinical
results and a marked
reduction in
treatment side
effects.
